LOOKING FOR A Spiritual DIRECTOR?

Duane Hammack

Duane Hammack has been a professional care-giver for 39 years. Throughout his vocational journey, he has desired to be partnered with God to bring healing and effective life skills to those he serves. Initially, he did that as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) for 25 years in both the US and then the overseas context with evangelical missionaries. He is passionate in his belief that healthy and integrated spiritual, emotional, and psychological living form the foundation for the abundant life promised in the scripture. With his combined experience and training through the completed certificate in Soul Care at the Soul Care Institute, Duane finds great “life” from walking with others in the care of their soul.

Peter Ivey

Peter comes to spiritual direction with a background in outdoor ministry and soul care. He is a graduate of the Soul Care Institute and is currently a spiritual direction apprentice with Anam Cara. He finds joy in creating space for others to slow down and rest in the love of God, to take notice of the beauty all around and within, and to listen for the still small voice that calls us the beloved. He has been on an arduous journey through anxiety, fear of rejection, and self-doubt, a journey that has led him to embrace his role as poet, retreat facilitator, gardener, and spiritual friend. Peter lives in Asheville, NC, with his wife, Becca, and their three kids, Londyn, Owen, and Miles.
